Myne the Moonfly
A mutated, intelligent firefly that raises Moonhead's light capacity and tops it up when reserves run low.

Moonhead meets Myne in The Dark Forest. A moonborn firefly bright enough to think, Myne drinks in stray light on his own and hoards it; while he travels with Moonhead the light reserve runs deeper, and when it runs dry he pours his own store across to keep the little moon glowing. One of the familiars the dark made: kin Moonhead would lose by becoming whole.
